Jan Brueghel the Elder 1568 - 1625
Son of Pieter Bruegel, Jan Brueghel the Elder was part of the great artistic Bruegel dynasty. He was a Flemish painter and first begain his career painting flowers and fruits - one of his nicknames was Flower Brueghel. Later he begain to paint landscapes, seascapes and townscapes and also still life. More detailed information at Wikipedia.
