Great Art Jigsaw

Diego Velazquez 1599 - 1660 (full name Diego Rodríguez de Silva y Velázquez). Velazquez was Spanish and belonged to the Baroque era. He was a court painter in Madrid and most of his work is portraits of court nobles although he also painted landscapes, religious pictures and scenes from common or domestic life.

Old Woman Frying Eggs (oil on canvas) is of the latter type (sometimes called "genre" pictures) and was painted by Velazquez when he was just 19.
